Private Limited (SMIPL), a two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, registered total sales of 72,200 units in February 2022. The company sold 58,603 units in the domestic market and exported 13,597 units in February 2022. The recently launched sporty style scooter from Suzuki Motorcycle India, Suzuki Avenis made its presence in the Indian market, just after its deliveries started in January 2022. Commenting on the sales performance, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd said, “Despite the existing semi-conductor availability constraints, we continue to maintain our growth momentum in the month of February, 2022. We are experiencing strong demand from both domestic and export markets. Therefore, we are cautiously optimistic that as we enter the new fiscal year, semiconductor availability will improve and we will be able to fully meet customer demand.
