Hyundai Ioniq: There has been news for a long time about the upcoming electric car of the legendary car maker Hyundai. In India, this car is going to compete with Tata Nexon EV. This car was recently spotted during transportation in West Bengal. The company will launch this car in India. It will be imported into India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). It will join the flagship SUV of the company’s Indian product line-up.

This car will be based on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Not much information has been revealed about the India bound model yet. As mentioned earlier, this car will be the company’s flagship EV and that is why it will also be equipped with many modern features.

India will get tough competition
The road for this car in India will not be easy. Tata Nexon is currently ruled by India and it is the bestselling car in the electric segment. Although Hyundai was the first to launch its electric car Hyundai Kona in India. After this, Nexon occupied the No. 1 position leaving everyone behind and remains the bestselling car of the segment even today. Hyundai launched its e-car in July 2019. It was the company’s first electronic car. The car was updated globally in November 2020, which received its mid-life facelift update. This model can be launched in India in the next few months. The new model is 40mm longer than the on-going model. Apart from this, this car will be available in 16 different color options. Of the 16 colors, 8 are new in which this car will be available for the first time.
